Ingenuity and creativity in Merseyside will be celebrated once again this year following the launch of the 2014 Merseyside Innovation Awards.
The 19th MIA remains committed to seeking out and recognising the pioneers of commercial innovation in the region.
Last year's winner, Sci-Tech Daresbury-based Nanoflex, picked up the top prize for its high-performance electrodes which are used in the electrochemical industry. Awards founder Brian McCann, partner and director of MC Vanguard Corporate Finance, believes there are plenty more unsung projects, imaginative solutions and revolutionary new products being developed in Merseyside that will revolutionise industry and commerce.
“The sponsor group is ready to launch the Merseyside Innovation Awards for 2014,” said Brian. “As the economy continues to recover on Merseyside, we are looking forward to seeing some very exciting applications this year.”
“With competition expected to be fierce I would encourage entrepreneurs to enter early. We want to leave no stone unturned in our quest to spotlight the greatest innovations in the region.”
